For those who care how a business owner gets from there to here, here’s briefly how that happened for me.
I wanted to be an artist or a writer. But in Central Texas farming country, that was an oddball aspiration. The farm girl became an English teacher instead. (I actually knew people who did that.) But as much as I loved teaching, I burned out fast!
Ultimately, the creative side re-emerged, sideways and tilted. As a young mother, I turned to needlework as an outlet. That led to designing wall hangings, funky things with old jeans, lace, and discarded wooden chair arms. That led to several galleries showing my work. And that led to designing greeting cards, which, of course, is graphic design. > Next
